Our Fall Cleanup Services
Leave the work of blowing, mulching, and winterizing your outdoor spaces to us.
Leaf Pickup
We offer leaf removal services in Grand Rapids and throughout West Michigan with options for an entire lawn cleanup or just leaf pile pickup. Whether you want us to remove them or compost them, our crews will clean up leaves to protect your lawn from fungi and allow it to receive essential nutrients.
We offer two different options for fall cleanup services:
- Option 1: Schedule us to visit your property two (2) times a season to keep the lawn cleaned up and looking good.
- Option 2: We can do a one-time visit at the end of fall/early winter to clean up all the leaves and debris.
Weed Control
Removing weeds in the fall makes it harder for them to take hold and grow out of control next spring. Our seasonal yard care services will add treatments to your lawn and garden that will keep unwanted weeds out once the snow starts to melt.
Fall Cutbacks
Fall cleanup of landscape beds includes pruning all plant material, including perennials, to inches above ground level, as well as hauling away and removing debris. This allows for fresh plant growth in the spring.
Tree & Shrub Pruning
Certain shrubs and trees can only be safely pruned in the fall. Our crews will prune these plants so they’ll continue to grow healthy and beautiful throughout the next year.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to schedule a fall yard cleanup in West Michigan?
Most of our clients schedule fall cleanups between late October and early November, after most of the leaves have fallen but before the first heavy snow. Booking early (August/September) helps secure a spot before the schedule fills up, especially in high-demand areas like Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Holland.
What does a fall yard cleanup typically include?
Fall cleanups usually cover leaf pickup and removal from the lawn areas, blowing out any leaves from flower beds, and removal of any small sticks and branches. We also offer optional weeding, shrub and tree pruning, and perennial cutbacks. At Christian Brothers, we also prep your beds and turf for winter so your landscape is healthier come spring.
Why are fall cutbacks important for my plants?
Cutting back perennials and ornamental grasses removes dead growth, reduces the risk of disease, and encourages stronger regrowth in spring. It also keeps your beds looking tidy through the winter months.
Do I need weed control in the fall?
Yes, fall is a smart time to tackle weeds. Cooler temperatures slow weed growth, but treating beds now helps prevent them from overwintering and coming back stronger in spring. We apply targeted treatments that keep your garden beds cleaner for longer.
